Acamol is a brand name for paracetamol. Acamol is produced by Teva Pharmaceutical Industries. Each Acamol tablet contains 500 mg of paracetamol. Acamol is the most popular drug in Israel.[citation needed]
The word "Acamol" is a genericized trademark in Israel. This is in part because of its famous mascot Acmed Acamol. For example, the word has become popular in Hebrew slang, in sentences like: "Do you have a headache? Take Acamol!" and "Take one Acamol and you'll feel fine".
