Ingredients:

1/2 cup whole wheat
1/2 cup oat groats
1/2 cup pearl or hulled barley
1/2 cup buckwheat
1/2 cup millet
1/2 cup quick white grits

In a grain grinder or heavy duty blender, crack the wheat, oats, barley, buckwheat and millet separately. Combine the cracked grains and stir in grits. Store in an airtight container. Makes about 3-1/2 cups.

To cook: For 1 serving, stir together 1 cup water, 1/3 cup cereal and 1/8 teaspoon salt. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat and cover. Simmer, stirring occasionally, for 10 to 15 minutes or until desired thickness and tenderness.
