A proprietary foam insulation blowing agent produced by Honeywell used in closed-cell spray foam insulation. Enovate is also known as HFC-245fa, or 1,1,1,3,3,-pentafluoropropane. Unlike CFC and HCFC blowing agents formerly used for this purpose, it has zero ozone depletion potential. However, it has a high global warming potential of 950 (950 times the global warming effect of CO2) [1]. Although Honeywell refers to this as "acceptable" in their literature, they don't include the actual number.
