Fermacell, a trade name of Xella is a dry-lining board for walls, ceilings and floors. Fermacell insulation board has good fire retardant properties, and has (according to the company) high levels of acoustic insulation. It is actually a kind of gypsum board, but a reinforced with fibers. In some cases ist is used as an alternative to gypsum board due to its better properties, but it is also more expensive. It is usually sold as light gray sheets of 1cm thickness. It is however rather dusty and releases some SO2 gas when heated several hundred degrees.
