Dan Jones (born 19 August 1978, in Chichester, West Sussex, England) is a British hypnotherapist and self-published author.

Jones has written and produced books and multimedia products, he presents seminars and workshops on topics around Ericksonian Hypnosis, Neurolinguistic Programming and Solution Focused Brief Therapy.

According to 'At Home With Gok Wan Magazine', Jones is 'the UK's leading personal development coach'[1]. However, this is disputed by some as hyped publicity, not least because Jones has never been a full-time coach or therapist.

Hypnotherapy career

Training

Jones became interested in hypnosis after seeing Paul McKenna's show in the early 1990s. He initially couldn't afford to attend 'live' training so began with 'home study' hypnosis training courses and lots of reading and personal study.[2]

In the early 2000s Jones undertook training in Ericksonian Conversational Hypnotherapy & Solution Focused Psychotherapy with Mark Tyrrell and Roger Elliott founders of Uncommon Knowledge. He also undertook training from Joe Griffin co-creator of the Human givens Approach to Counselling and Roger Terry founder of Evolution Training. In 2007 Jones trained with Stephen Brooks (thought to be the worlds leading authority on Indirect Hypnosis and the first person to introduce Ericksonian Hypnosis to the UK) in Ericksonian Psychotherapy, Indirect Hypnosis and Neurolinguistic Programming.

Individual Working, Seminars & workshops

Jones started out just seeing clients on a 'one-to-one' basis. In 2002 he started holding short courses on subjects like anger management, communication skills and stress management. By 2004 he was holding regular one and two day training courses on a variety of subjects including self-hypnosis, sales skills and using stories to heal.
