Summary
<wm-license-information-description> | Fig. 16 Vertical band re-saw, used for re-sawing rectangular boards into thinner sections. Guide rollers are provided both horizontally and vertically, and there is a powered vertical feed roller. This can also be used as a self-centring guide, which automatically adjusts both rollers simultaneously, so as to saw boards of any thickness down their centre. Band speed is around 8,000 feet per minute, with a precision deadweight and lever arrangement to maintain band tension accurately. |
