MiTiHeart Corporation is a product technology company specializing in ventricular assist devices for patients suffering from congestive heart failure. The MiTiHeart LVAD is an implantable left ventricular assist device being developed by Mohawk Innovative Technology (MiTi) for distribution by MiTiHeart Corporation, which is a subsidiary of MiTi.

LVAD

MiTiHeart's LVAD design uses non-contact magnetic bearings in a design that optimizes blood flow through the pump. The design reduces thrombi formation and blood damage by shear. The use of non-contact bearings eliminates tribo-compatibility issues.
