Cortifoam (Hydrocortisone Foam-Hydrocortisone Acetate USP) is a drug commonly used to treat Inflammatory Bowel Disease, especially Ulcerative Colitis [1]. It is administered through the anus after bowel evacuation, which is primarily targeted to treat the rectum. The drug is in the form of a foam that is sprayed from a canister, which is then inserted into the anus using an applicator syringe. Dosage is determined according to the severity of the disease.
