ANCA-associated vasculitides
From Self-sufficiency
ANCA-associated vasculitides (AAV) are diseases caused by vasculitis in which antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibodies (ANCAs) can be detected in the blood.[1][2]
Types
Three AAVs are Churg-Strauss syndrome, microscopic polyangiitis and Wegener's granulomatosis. All feature a small-vessel vasculitis.
Polyarteritis also presents with ANCA.[3]
