Biofreeze is the brand name for a topical pain relieving gel distributed by G.R Lane Health Products Ltd.
Biofreeze is a product used for relieving pain in sports injuries, arthritis, sore muscles and joints, sprains and backache. It contains the herb Ilex,[1] specifically the Ilex paraguariensis species. Ilex Paraguariensis is a South American herb extracted from the holly shrub that’s traditionally used by the Paraguay Indians to enhance the effects of their medicines.
In 2007 the company used Dr Catherine Spencer-Smith, a specialist Sports Doctor, alongside players from the World Toe Wrestling Championships to help promote their products in the UK.
