Makita
Makita Corporation (TYO: 6586, NASDAQ: MKTAY) is a Japanese power tool company founded in 1915, and based in Anjō, Japan. Makita is a manufacturer of professional and consumer power tools, Makita operates factories in Japan, USA, UK, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, China, and Romania and have a global turnover equivalent to US$1.8 billion.[1][2] Makita USA, Inc. is located in La Mirada, CA. Makita USA has a manufacturing plant in Georgia, four distribution facilities, and more than 600 authorized service centers throughout the US.
Guitarist Paul Gilbert and bassist Billy Sheehan, of the hard rock band Mr. Big, usually play their instruments with Makita cordless drills that have picks attached to a drill bit.
Makita is the only power tool manufacturer that assembles electric Miter saws in the United States.
