Molasses Walnut Cake
From Self-sufficiency
Ingredients:
1 can (10-3/4 ounces) condensed tomato soup
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup oil
1/2 cup molasses
1/2 cup sugar
2 cups flour
2 teaspoons allspice
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup coarsely chopped walnuts
Powdered sugar
- Combine all ingredients except walnuts and powdered sugar.
- Blend until smooth.
- Stir in nuts.
- Spread batter in a greased 9x13 baking pan.
- Bake at 350o for 20 to 25 minutes or until tests done with a toothpick.
- Sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving.
