RoboBraille

RoboBraille is an email based internet service which converts digital text documents into Braille or audio file format. It was designed for visually impaired internet users, but can be utilised by anybody, and is free for non-commercial users. Users can send an email with an attached document to RoboBraille, and in return will receive the transcribed version of the file within a few minutes.
The system was developed in Denmark with the assistance of the Royal National College for the Blind based in Hereford, United Kingdom.[1] The system was launched in June 2006 and was the winner of a British Computer Society Social Contribution Project Award in 2007.[1]
