The bench model Simpson 464 has an LED display, detachable line cord, tilt/carry handle, and has a maximum DCV range of 200mV to 1000V, 600VAC. Takes conventional banana plug leads. While not marked on the front panel, the 2K ohms range is for diode continuity testing.
The Simpson 464 Digital Multimeter is a compact, 3 1/2 digit instrument, suitable for use in general electronic maintenance, production, and laboratory work. It features 0.1 percent DCV accuracy, integrated circuit electronics, solid-state LED display, and push button switch selection for ranges and functions. Additional features are automatic polarity, automatic zeroing, high input impedance (for voltage measurements), and excellent temperature and over ranging characteristics.
The 464 measures DC voltage, AC voltage, DC current, AC current and resistance. The charge balance integration technique is used for the analog to digital (A/D) conversion circuitry and is contained in two Large Scale Integration (LSI) modules, which provide high reliability and compact design.
