Becaplermin (brand name Regranex) is a cicatrizant, available as a topical gel.
Use for diabetic foot ulcers has been described.[1]
It is also known as "platelet-derived growth factor BB".[2]
Black box warning has been added the safety label to describe fivefold increase in death from cancer when three or more tubes are used.[3]
