Tolpiprazole (H-4,170) is an anxiolytic drug of the phenylpiperazine class.[1] It was never marketed.[1] It may form 3-methylphenylpiperazine as a metabolite, though it is unknown whether this agent is active or not, but can be considered likely to be.[citation needed]
