The thyrotropin-releasing hormone receptor (TRHR) is a G protein-coupled receptor which binds the tripeptide thyrotropin releasing hormone.[1][2] The TRHR are found in the brain and when bound by TRH result act through phospholipase C to increase intracellular inositol triphosphate.
